Reform councillor denies link to Tommy Robinson

Tommy Robinson and Reform councillor Rick Baker

On 26 August, the Reform UK Exposed (RUKE) account highlighted a picture which appeared to show Rick Baker and Tommy Robinson in the same location. If you’re unfamiliar with Baker, he’s the leader of the Reform group on Northumberland County Council. And this is despite Reform officially claiming it has nothing to do with Robinson:

Now, according to RUKE, Baker has claimed he couldn’t have been pictured with Robinson, because he was “driving a bus”.

Unite the Kingdom

The pictures above were taken at the 2025 Unite the Kingdom rally. While supporters have tried to describe this event was ‘patriotic’ and not ‘far-right’, it was literally organised by Tommy Robinson – the most notorious far-right agitator in Britain.

As Reform UK Exposed explained:

Here’s a photo from the September 2025 rally showing Councillor Rick Baker immediately behind Robinson. Alongside Robinson is Baker’s son Sean, founder of The Uncensored Patriots podcast, who has separately been photographed with Robinson and incidently also interviewed Britain First co-leader Paul Golding on the podcast.

The Uncensored Patriots have also interviewed Jayda Fransen – formerly of Britain First and now of the Christian Nationalist Party. Fransen was most recently seen using videos from Notting Hill Carnival to do 19th century-style race science:

The elder Baker is no stranger to racist/wrong comments himself, as Hope not Hate reported:

Baker is yet another Reform candidate holding anti-Muslim views. On 20 February, he posted that “the Muslim Brotherhood are controlling Councillors in Birmingham, where the only allocated social housing, is to Muslim families,” while “non Muslims are excluded”, despite that having no basis in fact. He went on: “Most majority councils in the UK are Labour, with Islamist mayors… We never voted for this. It has been forced on us all.”

Clearly Reform UK had no issue with these comments, as they later elevated Baker to the leadership position.

On the buses

On 31 August, Reform UK Exposed posted the following:

Reform UK Councillor Rick Baker has responded to this, stating that he was “driving a bus” at the time of the march. He’s yet to provide evidence of that.

Meanwhile he also got angry at his son being involved in this post. The same son that runs a far-right podcast called Uncensored Patriots and interviewed Britain First’s Paul Golding and hangs out with Tommy Robinson.

His argument is that he shouldn’t be dragged in to discussions about his politics. Which makes the fact that Rick and his son appear on an episode of Uncensored Patriots doing just that… hilarious.

That video and its hideous AI thumbnail can be seen here:

As Reform UK Exposed noted, the video with the two Bakers is from “just 2 months ago”.

Just 2 months ago

It’s unclear when in the past two months Baker senior decided that his political commentator son should be left out of politics, but here we are.

Open secret in Reform?

When it comes to Reform councillors and activists, the links between these people and the far right are obvious. In many cases, these people openly are far right (as opposed to someone like Nigel Farage, who does what he can to distance himself from the more obvious Nazis and race scientists). As we’ve reported:

It’s no mystery why these people feel at home in Reform UK, anyway. It’s because the party has put the welcome mat out for them, and invited them all inside.
