Writing in the Guardian, Prime Minister Andy Burnham has released his latest plan for driving down the cost of living crisis. While the things he’s proposing aren’t objectionable, they are yet another example of tinkering around the edges. Too many people feel like modern life is designed to catch them out. On Tuesday 30 June, we reported that the Canary has been debanked by Lloyds. This has left us with little money and considerable stress. And while we’re still in the thick of it, the dread has been eased by the outpouring of support from our friends and allies in the independent media.
