On Sunday, Restore Britain leader, Rupert Lowe, published a public appeal to Nigel Farage, of Reform UK. The message was superficially a request for the two parties to work together. It didn’t take a genius to spot that Lowe was actually trying to put himself in the driving seat, though. While this obvious ploy was apparent to most, it seemingly wasn’t apparent to many Reform UK supporters. The UK has had several big by-elections over the past 12 months, with Reform UK underperforming in all of them. In the most recent, Reform’s underperformance wasn’t the only story; there was also the emergence of Restore Britain. Now, Restore leader, Rupert Lowe, has called for something of a cooperation pact between the two parties. What’s really going on here?
