Lebanon president and PM condemn Iran’s efforts to end Israeli invasion
Lebanon’s president Joseph Aoun — like his prime minister Nawwaf Salam — has objected to Iran’s terms for negotiations with the US, including an end to Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. The pair’s regime is widely considered a ‘Vichy‘ regime collaborating with its occupiers and their US backers. Aoun has insisted that “no one negotiates on our behalf” — a position for which Lebanese-American journalist Rania Khalek rightly derided him over.
