There is a red alert in France concerning water resources. Although France is currently experiencing its fourth heatwave since May, the drought is worsening. And with it, the insurance companies’ bill is rising, as they see their expenditure increase every year due, reportedly, to increasingly intense and recurrent exceptional weather events. A national crisis On 29 July, no fewer than 62 of the country’s 96 metropolitan departments were in a crisis situation, and another 22 were on alert. The Minister for Ecological Transition, Monique Barbut stated that the cost of the current crisis would be “higher” than the €5.6 billion recorded…

Fascist Israeli minister Ben-Gvir demands Zionists massacre 30-40 Palestinians a day

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:18 August 2026

Israel’s fascist ‘security’ minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has demanded even more slaughter of Palestinians to advance Israel’s theft of Gaza. In keeping with his racist, genocidal worldview, he has dismissed Gaza’s indigenous and refugee population as “not worthy of life” and “not even people”. Ben-Gvir, giving an interview wearing a noose pin symbolising the execution of Palestinian prisoners, also insisted that Israel would settle the whole of Gaza. He also mocked Palestinian Muslims by using the Arabic term ‘Insha’Allah’, which means ‘God willing’: “Insha’Allah… we will settle all of Gaza,” said Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in an interview, who…

The London Irish Brigade held a demo outside the German Embassy on Saturday 15 August 2026 to call attention to the show trial of the ‘Ulm 5‘ anti-genocide activists in Stuttgart Stammheim, Germany. Like the ‘Filton 24’ in the UK, several of whom were at the demo to show their support, and other anti-genocide activists in the UK, the Ulm 5 were non-violent. They damaged murder-drones at an Elbit factory and then waited for police to arrive. Also like the Filton activists, since their arrest the five have been held in severe conditions for many months, with strict restrictions on visits…

Israel caught — again — influencing AI chatbots in its favour

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:16 August 2026

Israel has been caught in a new campaign to influence how AI chatbots answer questions about its genocidal military and its crimes in Gaza. Again. The new campaign set up a fake ‘think tank‘ — the ‘Hanover Institute’ — to whitewash pro-Israel propaganda and fool chatbots. It comes after Israel’s earlier huge spending through a Trump-linked PR firm to pervert AI responses — and organised through the same French firm, Havas Media. The earlier campaign also targeted US churchgoers, in a so far unsuccessful attempt to halt Israel’s collapsing support among the US public. Israel — Usual suspects The revelations come…

Gaza artists pay tribute to “Free Palestine” Burger King worker

  • Post author:

Artists in Gaza have painted a mural honouring Burger King worker Arianna Hamilton. Israeli visitor Rami Feinstein tried — and to the burger chain’s shame reportedly succeeded despite provoking the incident — to get Hamilton fired after she said “free Palestine” when he said he was Israeli. The entitled friend of genocide’s video of the interaction, in which he cast himself as the ‘unsafe’ victim, quickly went viral – but not in a way he would have appreciated. Hamilton commented publicly on the incident in a social media video: Now her stand has been honoured in Gaza: Solidarity Arianna Hamilton. Never…

Three members of Your Party’s executive committee (CEC) have become the latest well-known figures to quit the committee, with what they describe as the “letter we never wanted to write”. “Never wanted to” The letter cites the party’s “shameful” conduct, lack of democracy and transparency, and unaddressed “serious misconduct” by senior staff. In full, it reads: Why we are resigning from the CEC – a statement from Solma Ahmed, Sophie Wilson and Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi – 14.08.2026 This is a letter we never wanted to write. We have resisted and delayed, hoping against hope that we would be able to find a…

Lawyers’ statement on Miller’s anti-Zionism win shows Bristol appeal smashed

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:5 August 2026

Academic David Miller’s explosive win this morning against Bristol University’s attempt to overturn an employment tribunal finding has shown how comprehensively the university’s appeal was defeated. The university sacked anti-Zionist professor Miller after an Israel lobby pressure campaign. To do so, it ignored two separate investigations by its own lawyers that concluded Miller had said nothing antisemitic in his critiques of Zionism and Israel lobby pressure. Comprehensive failure But to justify its appeal, the university put together a Byzantine document. It contained nine ‘grounds of appeal’, most of which were subdivided into smaller grounds – and some of those divided again. Yet…

The Your Party (YP) exodus continues in the wake of the several suspensions and Jeremy Corbyn having rejected the no-confidence vote in the central executive committee (CEC) chairperson and secretary. Noor Jahan Begum has resigned as YP’s elected spokesperson citing “serious concerns” over the party’s standards and legal compliance. In a resignation statement dating back to about three weeks ago, but which just leaked, Begum wrote: Dear All, I am saddened to inform you that, with immediate effect, I have resigned from my position as a member of the Officers Group. Tribunal confirms legally-protected status of anti-Zionism

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:5 August 2026

Anti-Zionism is a legally ‘protected belief’ under UK equality law, a tribunal reiterated in the case of Professor David Miller, who was dismissed by Bristol University after an Israel lobby pressure campaign. The university’s own lawyers had twice found there was no evidence of antisemitism against Miller. His landmark 2024 tribunal victory against the university set the legal precedent that anti-Zionist beliefs are legally protected. The university appealed to the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT), which confirmed this morning that the precedent is legally binding. Taking to X this morning, Miller wrote: ANTI-ZIONISM PROTECTED BY UK LAW We have set a binding…

Watch: Israeli tries to get Burger King employee fired for “Free Palestine”

An Israeli has tried to get a Burger King employee in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, sacked for saying “Free Palestine”. In classic ‘always the victim’ fashion, Rami Feinstein filmed employees, then demanded to know from the food chain: Are you a safe place for Jews right now? The company said it is investigating the ‘incident’. View this post on Instagram A post shared by PAL GLOBAL ECHO (@pal.global.echo) Always the… you know the rest The video sent the Israel lobby into apoplexy as it tried – of course – to cast Israelis as, you’ve guessed it, the victims. Canadian-Palestinian activist, Ahmad Hajahmad Jarrar, has been charged under terror laws after a speech in Toronto against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Meanwhile, charges have been dropped against three Israel supporters who committed or threatened actual harm to pro-Palestine protesters. Canada is following the UK in its lawfare war on anti-genocide speech and protest. The force added that he “acted for the benefit of, and in association with, Hamas, a…

German court rules comparing Israel to Nazis is legal

  • Post author:

Despite the German state’s slavish support for Israel and its brutal repression of anti-genocide protest, the pro-Palestine movement has scored a major legal victory. The Zweibrücken Higher Regional Court has ruled that comparing Israel with the Nazis is legal. German law bans the display of swastikas and other Nazi-linked symbols. However, the court ruled that they can legally be used: If someone uses the signs for sharp criticism of the methods of the State of Israel and is thus accompanied by a clear distancing or condemnation of Nazi injustice. German rulemakers overturn activist’s fine The court was hearing an appeal brought…

Tony Greenstein: ‘Political debanking has forced me into cash economy’

  • Post author:

Jewish anti-genocide activist Tony Greenstein says that multiple “political debanking” attacks have forced him into the “cash economy”. His trial under the Terrorism Act, for supporting Palestinians’ legal right to resist Israel’s occupation, begins on18 August. In a statement, Greenstein explains the history of debanking — an attack also used against the Canary — and details how he has been a recurrent victim of debanking as the UK state represses pro-Palestine speech. In full, the statement reads: When Nigel Farage was debanked in June 2023 by Coutts for his political opinions it made the national headlines. Dame Alison Rose, CEO of…

Spanish government minister blames Israel for Ceuta ‘surge’

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:2 August 2026

Spanish Transport Minister Óscar Puente has suggested Israel is behind the ‘immigration crisis’ in Spain’s Ceuta enclave in Morocco. The Moroccan government is widely considered a US client state and is heavily dependent on Israeli weapons supply. Israel and the US have been accused of coordinating the Ceuta crisis, in which thousands of Moroccans poured into the enclave and at least 67 people have died, to punish Spain. Spain’s resistance to Israel’s genocide in Gaza, its refusal to allow US warplanes to use Spanish bases and airspace to attack Iran and Spain’s condemnation of Israel’s racist attack on footballer Lamine Yamal…

Donald Trump has admitted that the US’ attempt to destroy the International Criminal Court (ICC) is about protecting wanted Israel’s Prime Minister and wanted war criminal, Benjamin ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu. Trump makes admission at press conference Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio first tried to spin a tale about US sovereignty and a supposedly arrogant court. But Trump blew his confection out of the water in one sentence, as journalist Ahmed Eldin spotted. Police arrest dozens at Palestine Action protest

  • Post author:

The Met Police has again arrested dozens of mostly older protesters at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for protesting against Israel’s genocide and the UK’s ‘terror’ ban on protest group Palestine Action. Activist photographer ‘BetterThanReal’ was on the scene for Skwawkbox and the Canary to capture the events. As always, the protesters were entirely peaceful, good tempered. And they were mostly older, including – again – Jewish Holocaust survivors and retired priests: But the police gathered in large numbers to drag off their targets: The victims included an 80-year-old Holocaust survivor, showing once again that the regime’s ‘terror’ clampdown has nothing to do…

Boy George exits ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ after releasing pro-genocide track

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:31 July 2026

Former pop star Boy George has pulled out of his planned appearance from next week in the London Palladium’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. The withdrawal comes shortly after the performer released a track supporting Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which he denies is a genocide. George’s manager said the decision had been made with the “utmost respect” for those involved in the show’s production. This ‘respect’ claim is despite manager Paul Kemsley’s assumption that “many people purchased tickets in the hope of seeing George perform”. Genocide apologist No mention of the disgust at his support for the apartheid occupation’s slaughter and…
