The very highest levels of the British government secretly exerted pressure on the BBC to censor a film about the army killing an unarmed child in 1972. Official documents, recently discovered by the Pat Finucane Centre, also show the British Army was aware, shortly after the killing in Derry, that the boy had been killed at β€œpoint blank” range by an immensely powerful machine-gun. Spain has deployed the military after up to 50,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta, a common crossing point and Spanish colonial enclave on the north African coast. Authorities are tightlipped about the mass crossing but up to 34 people are reported to have died. Kill chain: British Army tests new Anduril battlefield spy drones

The British Army has field tested a range of new AI drone equipment. The military wants to shorten so-called ‘kill chains’ using technology from AI war firm Anduril among others. An entire infantry unit was re-purposed to train in drone warfare. General who led shadowy army psy-ops unit is new Economist defence editor

The UK legacy media are having a normal one again. The Economist magazine just announced a currently serving British Army general would become its new defence editor upon leaving the military. Turner led 77 Brigade, the army’s propaganda unit, from 2020 to 2022.
