On Friday 24 July 2026, from 8.00-9.00am, activists converged on Aviva’s historic Norwich headquarters. They were demanding the insurer severs ties with companies accused of human rights abuses against migrants and asylum seekers. They brought a 1.5m barbed wire ball surrounding Aviva’s logo, and spoke to hundreds of staff as they made their way to work. Aviva insures the largest number of migrant detention and surveillance contractors operating in the UK. Protesters confront NatureScot at biodiversity conference over guga hunt licence

A noisy protest erupted outside the Biodiversity + Business Live conference at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. Campaigners were challenging NatureScot over its role in licensing the controversial guga hunt. From 8am on 15 July, protesters gathered with placards and megaphones outside the conference, which NatureScot is co-hosting. Noise demo announced to confront anti-trans campaign group coming to London

A campaign group which wants to block gender affirming care for trans people is coming to London for a conference as it continues towards its aim of: structural violence against, and erasure of the trans community. Presenting themselves as a “respectable organisation”, the Clinical Advisory Network on Sex and Gender (CAN-SG) is a group of medical clinicians who campaign against gender affirming care and allegedly aim to improve holistic support for trans people instead.
