Since the latest war began in October 2024, the city of Nabatieh, and its surrounding district, has suffered Israeli aggression on an unprecedented scale. It has a long history of fierce resistance to occupiers — going back to the 1978 invasion and every major war since. A major economic hub and stronghold for Shia-Muslim parties like Hezbollah and Amal, it is also considered to be of great strategic importance, as the southern gateway to the Bekaa valley. Defend Our Juries takes defiance of Palestine Action ban to next level

Following the Court of Appeal’s ruling on 15 June, declaring the proscription of Palestine Action to be lawful, Defend Our Juries is escalating its campaign of defiance. Ordinary people from across the UK are publishing videos professing membership of Palestine Action and inviting support for the group, risking jail sentences of up to 14 years.
