EU hiding 17 secret Gaza documents into infrastructure projects

The European Commission has claimed there is “no public interest” in releasing seventeen reports on infrastructure projects the EU has funded in Gaza.

The reports would be likely to confirm Israel’s wholesale destruction of basic civilian infrastructure and pressure the EU to end its continued collaboration with, and privileging of, the colony. It would also further strain the EU’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Gaza: EU dodging genocide

On the same day, a United Nations inquiry formally confirmed that Israel continues to commit genocide in Gaza by deliberately murdering Palestinian children. The EU boasts that projects it funds in Gaza help mitigate harm to Palestinian children during the ‘conflict’. The ‘conflict’ is a genocide estimated to have killed around half a million children and maimed many more.

The EU has funded extensive water and sanitation works in Gaza. Water and sanitation have been primary targets for the colonisers as they try to make Gaza uninhabitable for its native population. It also claims to have shipped “thousands of tonnes” of aid “to the region”. However, little or none of this aid has been allowed to pass Israel’s starvation blockade. Instead, IOF soldiers guard racist settlers as they destroy aid and attack drivers.

The refusal to release its own reports on the outcomes of the projects it funds is a further EU collaboration in genocide.
