The Gaza Tribunal, established by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and others to examine UK collusion in Israel’s genocide, is publishing a book of its findings. Its findings are unequivocal: Rishi Sunak’s Tories and, especially, the Starmer regime are steeped in blood, guilt and collaboration. One of the greatest crimes of our age As publisher Pluto Press notes: the true scale of Britain’s complicity in one of the greatest crimes of our age. This groundbreaking inquiry brings together original testimony from Palestinian survivors, journalists, human rights campaigners, international legal experts and whistleblowers, to evidence both the human reality of the genocide,…

The Irish government has again come to so-called ‘Israel’s’ aid by voting down two Dáil motions, to combat the genocidaires’ continued participation in international sport. The Social Democrats introduced a motion entitled Exclusion of Israel from Sporting Fixtures, calling for: …Israel to be excluded from all international sporting competitions, as long as the genocide and illegal occupation continues; They were joined by Sinn Féin, who focused on Ireland’s upcoming Nations League fixture against the land thieves, scheduled for October. The Stop the Game Campaign and FAI Participation in Matches against Israel have called on the government to “uphold its obligations under…

US government weighs in on Nowak murder with the same old fascist lies

With grim predictability, the far-right US government has waded into the controversy surrounding the tragic death of Henry Nowak. A US State Department post on social media offered mealy-mouthed “condolences” to Henry’s family, though only after a tight string of fascist dogwhistles. In particular, the Trump administration repeated Farage’s ridiculous ‘two-tier’ anti-white policing claim. This is fitting, given the Reform UK leader shamelessly exploited Nowak’s murder to attack DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives. As the Canary previously pointed out, Farage clearly received this talking point directly from Trump’s fascist America. In the UK, ‘DEI’ is better known as ‘EDI’ (Equality, Diversity and…

In 2024, Labour pledged to equalise the minimum wage across all age bands. Now, a senior minister has claimed that the act of governing is completely out of the hands of government: Page 45 of Labours 2024 manifesto stated: "Labour will also remove the discriminatory age bands so all adults are entitled to the same minimum wage" Pat McFadden is asked, when are you going to do this? McFadden says its not up to the govt to do it. pic.twitter.com/RSVJaZvf7x — Saul Staniforth (@SaulStaniforth) May 31, 2026 Has there ever been a government as comfortable with u-turning as the Starmer regime?…

Polanski calls out the back door between the AI industry and the Labour government

  • Post author:

Green leader Zack Polanski has published a letter calling out ex-Labour leader Tony Blair’s links to the atificial intelligence (AI) industry and government. The news comes after war criminal Blair published an essay, via his Tony Blair Institute (TBI) think tank, calling for Labour to essentially shape all future policy around AI. Of course, this policy recommendation has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Larry Ellison gave £250m to the TBI. Ellison just happens to be the CEO of AI-specialist company Oracle. He’s also a good buddy of Donald Trump, at whose feet Blair all but worshipped in his…

UK government trying to ‘cover up’ its ’embarrassment’ over nature and national security report

The government has been accused of seeming to “cover up” its “embarrassment” by trying to hide an explosive report, which revealed the dire state of the climate and biodiversity emergencies. The comments were made after the Cabinet Office rejected a Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request from the Canary, which asked the Prime Minister’s Office to release documents showing discussions between officials about the timing of the publication of the Nature security assessment on global biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and national security. The assessment was published in January 2026 following an FOI request from the Green Alliance think tank. It was…

UK government throws another £65m at war satellite upgrade

  • Post author:

The UK has earmarked £65m to upgrade Skynet (actual name), a war satellite system once used to fly drones over Afghanistan. The system contains software run by yet another global military firm with interests in AI war systems. That is the second one this week. A government press release once again conflated business and public safety with lucrative defence interests: Vital emergency services, military operations and British businesses will be better protected through a new system to protect UK satellites and the services they provide from space. Adding: 20% of UK economy reliant on satellite services which are essential for military…

Howards End

62 hours of pure joy; for little more than a large whiskey. 62 hours of not wasting precious funds on booze, to be told; "Vapers Not Welcome". Is it any wonder that a record number of so called "pubs", closed last month? Truth is, there are hardly any real "boozers" left - ever since John Prescott declared "we are all middle class now", and 10 years after that introduced the ban on smoking as the ultimate coup de grace, so that people could take their kids into pubs (is that really wise in any case? We aint French after all). People,…
