US kills two in Pacific ‘narco boat’ strike bringing total to 223

The US has killed two people in a so-called ‘narco’ boat strike, bringing the total since September to 223. These strikes follow reports alleging that the CIA and/or its contractors attacked three vessels near the Galapagos in March and January 2026. The US military’s Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) posted a section of a video showing the strike on X: "This operation is a clear and decisive reminder that SOUTHCOM is taking the fight directly to the cartels." Israeli airstrike destroys Gaza warehouse, burying food aid for malnourished children and pregnant women under rubble

An Israeli military strike targeting a nearby building has destroyed a warehouse storing nutrition supplies intended for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers in Gaza. The strike happened overnight (24-25 August) in Deir Al Balah, central Gaza. The force of the explosion caused large sections of the building to collapse, including the roof and walls, completely burying supplies beneath the rubble. The warehouse belongs to Ard El Insan (AEI), a local humanitarian organisation. It works in partnership with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) to provide nutritional support to women and children. People Against Genocide occupies Martin-Baker factory roof

At approximately 5am on 24 August, a group of activists from People Against Genocide (PAG) scaled the roof of the Martin-Baker factory at Lower Rd, Denham, Uxbridge. After occupying the roof, and shutting down the factory, they poured red paint and began damaging the factory. Martin-Baker specialises in aircraft ejection seats. It manufactures them for the Israeli Air Force’s T-6 training fleet, as well as F-35 fighter jets. Without these ejection seats, F-35 fighter jets couldn’t operate over Gaza.
