The Libyan abductors of ten Global Sumud land convoy volunteers kidnapped on 24 May 2026 have extended their illegal captivity for another thirty days. The ten were abducted near Sirte despite having previously agree safe passage with aid bound for Gaza. The extension is the second imposed on them by Libya’s Internal Security Agency (ISA). Organisers have described the “political hostage taking” as outrageous and a “blatant attack on international solidarity with Palestine”. The group is demanding action from the volunteers’ governments and others to pressure the ISA into freeing the captives. The ISA has released footage showing the victims being…

Labour pushing bill to legalise ‘dark money’ political bribery

  • Post author:

Keir Starmer’s Labour party is trying to push a bill through Parliament that amounts to legalising bribery. Hollow corpse stuffed with cash Clause 60 of the Representation of the People bill will remove caps on political donations and de-couple donations from companies’ UK taxable profits. Starmer has already pulled murky political tricks to mask its passage so far. He is ignoring almost all the recommendations of Labour’s own already-weak ‘Rycroft Review‘ into foreign political interference. UK state-corporate media are ignoring the bill. This video from the Canary explains: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Canary (@thecanaryuk) Starmer already…

“Time to pipe down” — Polanski hits back at Musk’s racist attack

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:12 June 2026

Green party leader Zack Polanski has continued to stand up to billionaire Elon Musk, while Musk continues to incite hate and attack Polanski for resisting. On 10 June, as Musk again bent and ignored reality to stir up white-supremacist hate toward immigrants, Polanski described Musk’s support for “violence and extremism” as a “threat to our democracy”: This man is a threat to our democracy. He backs violence and extremism. Blaming a group of people for the awful actions of an individual leads us to a very dark place. Musk, Lowe, Farage, Robinson – these men don’t give a shit about this…

Pro-Palestine protester ‘Big Ben Dan’ found guilty

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:11 June 2026

‘Big Ben Dan’ Day has been found guilty of ‘public nuisance’ at Southwark Crown Court after climbing the parliamentary tower in March 2025. Day’s 17-hour protest was against Israel’s Gaza genocide and against state-sanctioned police violence against peaceful protest. Big Ben Dan — “Serious disruption” The state claims Day caused a £67,000 public bill, some lost bus fares and “serious disruption”. Not as big as Israel’s genocide has caused to millions of innocent Palestinians and surely that’s the point of protest. But that’s the UK state’s priority as Keir Starmer wages war on anti-genocide speech and protest. Supporters chanted “Free Palestine”…

US vassals band together to suspend ICC prosecutor Karim Khan for Israel

  • Post author:

US vassals have banded together in a vote of the International Criminal Court’s 21-state ‘Bureau’ to suspend ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan. Khan has been driving the ICC’s issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli war criminals, including Benjamin Netanyahu and former ‘defence’ minister Yoav Gallant. ICC — Shameless political stitch-up Israel and the US have previously circulated allegations against Khan – a standard Israel lobby tactic – of improper behaviour. Now Khan has been suspended by the Bureau on a supposed ‘no indication of guilt’ basis. But as former UK ambassador Craig Murray points out, the move is a shameless and…

Weiss set to run CNN after trashing CBS for Israel

  • Post author:

Israel fanatic Bari Weiss is set to take over the running of CNN’s editorial operations when Paramount Skydance’s planned purchase of Warner Bros Discovery is approved as expected. Weiss was imposed on CBS’s news operation in 2025 by its new, Zionist owners, despite no newsroom experience — with a naked pro-Israel agenda. The move has ruined the reputation of CBS as a serious news organisation, lost it some of its best-known faces and seen them replaced by pro-Israel mouthpieces. Weiss — spreading the plague Although the $110bn deal is not yet signed, both Paramount and CNN have said they expect it…

Ben-Gvir suggests arresting women and children to ‘hurt’ Hezbollah

  • Post author:

Fascist Israeli security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has told a meeting of Netanyahu’s cabinet that the occupation regime needs to abduct more Lebanese women and children. He told his fellow monsters ministers that killing many Lebanese resistance fighters is good but that “arresting their women and children”… This is what hurts them most. Ben-Gvir/Israel’s actions met with impunity and silence As the International Committee of the Red Cross notes, collective punishment of civilians is unequivocally a war crime. The minister is used to getting away with committing and inciting war crimes. So far, the UK government has not condemned this one. Or even…

Tony award winner Bourzgui’s acceptance speech compares Zionists and billionaires to vampires

Musician Ali Louis Bourzgui won a Tony award last night, 7 June, for his portrayal of a vampire in the musical adaptation of The Lost Boys. As he received his award, he compared Zionists and billionaires to the vampires of the show – people “who have shunned their own humanity in order to achieve a nonexistent sense of superiority”. And in case anyone was still unclear what he meant, he used his speech to wish freedom to the Palestinian people from occupation, as well as to praise the immigrants and trans people constantly targeted by the US fascist regime: https://www.thecanary.co/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/bourzgui-tony-1.mp4 Tony award…

Iran strikes Israel after Israel bomb’s Beirut’s Dahiyeh to kill peace talks

  • Post author:

Iran has launched at least two and as many as five (so far) waves of drones and at least ten ballistic missiles against Israel. The strikes, described by Tehran as a “warning shot”, came in retaliation for Israel attacking Dahiyeh in southern Beirut. Iran had warned Israel that it would strike its north if Netanyahu launched attacks on Dahiyeh. Israel claimed to have shot down all the incoming barrage, but even UK state-corporate media have reported numerous successful strikes. The attack was the first direct Iranian retaliation against Israel in two months. Local footage also appears to show missiles reaching targets:…

Nunziati was sacked by the news agency in 2025 after asking a European Commission (EC) spokesman whether Israel should pay to rebuild Gaza, just as the EC insists Russia should rebuild Ukraine. Amnesty International Italia is supporting the case and Nunziati’s press union, Stampa Romana, is funding it. “Sector-wide mobilisation” In a video announcement about his case, Nunziati said that many of his colleagues…

  • Post author:

The proto-fascist ‘Advance UK’ party appears to be imploding after warring emails from the group’s leader and chief operating officer (COO) to members. The war has been triggered by party leader Ben Habib’s plan to de-register the party. COO Tim Power wrote to members denouncing Habib’s attempt to disband Advance and merge it into far-right umbrella group GBPAC (Great British Political Action Committee). Habib has said that the UK extreme right field is too “crowded” because of Nigel Farage’s Reform UK and Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain. “Ethics more important”: Polish football club rejects Maccabi Tel Aviv transfer offer

  • Post author:

The owner of Polish football club Pogoń Szczecin has refused to discuss the sale of players to Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv. Alex Haditaghi went further, comparing the idea of doing business with the club to trading with nazi Germany. In a post on X, Haditaghi said he had told the Israeli club he would not be talking to them about potential transfers for defenders Dmitri Keramitsis and Leo Borges. He said that football should represent “hope, respect, unity and humanity” and that: money, business, and opportunity must come second to conscience. Haditaghi made clear that he was referring to Israel’s…
