“Time to pipe down” — Polanski hits back at Musk’s racist attack

Green party leader Zack Polanski has continued to stand up to billionaire Elon Musk, while Musk continues to incite hate and attack Polanski for resisting.

On 10 June, as Musk again bent and ignored reality to stir up white-supremacist hate toward immigrants, Polanski described Musk’s support for “violence and extremism” as a “threat to our democracy”:

This man is a threat to our democracy. He backs violence and extremism.

Blaming a group of people for the awful actions of an individual leads us to a very dark place.

Musk, of course, didn’t get wound up about murderous white people trying to behead minority victims. That would be far too inconvenient for the white hate narrative. Murderous UK neo-nazi Alina Burns doesn’t exist in the white nationalist discourse, for example — or if she does, she’ll be praised behind closed doors.

Stung, Musk then described Polanski as a “scumbag and traitor”:

Zack Polanski — Time to pipe down

The natural reading of this would be “traitor to the white race”, but just maybe Musk meant a traitor to (white) Britain. You say potato. But Polanski wasn’t backing down. Instead he told Musk to “pipe down” and stop inciting violence and wrecking UK democracy:

Elon Musk can say what he likes about me but I won’t stay silent whilst foreign tech billionaires, money earned off the backs of real workers, try to interfere in our democracy, incite violence in our communities and tear apart our country.

And it seems a lot more people agree with Polanski than with Musk – and weren’t shy about saying so. As well as — at the time of writing — a ‘ratio’ massively in Polanski’s favour in terms of ‘likes’ and shares, those who replied were, well, pithy:

And many pointed out Musk’s hypocritical silence over the far more prevalent white far-right hate:

Others pointed to Musk’s real roots and the fact he’s a foreigner to either of the countries he’s trying to wreck:

Still others poured pity as well as scorn on Musk and his hollowness. Which would infuriate him more isn’t yet clear:
