More than 80 MPs and peers have written publicly to foreign secretary Yvette Cooper, demanding immediate sanctions on Israel for its Gaza genocide. Indefensible Leeds East Labour MP published a copy of the letter. It reminds Cooper of her government’s “indefensible” failure to do anything meaningful to curb Israel’s arrogant impunity or fulfil the UK’s obligations under international law: BREAKING: With @Imran_HussainMP and 80 other MPs and Lords, I have written to the Foreign Secretary calling for comprehensive sanctions on Israel. The world’s top court is clear. Israel’s occupation of Palestine is illegal – and Governments must act now to end…

Mahmood’s anti-asylum bill is “horrifying”. Burnham just voted for it

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:15 July 2026

The Starmer regime’s war on human rights continues with the passage of Shabana Mahmood’s punitive ‘Immigration and Asylum Bill‘ through Parliament. Burnham rallies behind Mahmood The bill’s provisions demonise asylum seekers and wage war on human rights and Britain’s obligations under international law. Presumptive next prime minister Andy Burnham supposedly represents change — at least that’s the claim — but it’s not borne out by events so far. And the same goes in this case, as Burnham voted yesterday in support of Mahmood’s racist new law. Budget bigotry Among its multiple abusive provisions, Mahmood plans to have asylum appeals decided by…

More Blair-Starmer continuity — Burnham & Milburn team up against young people

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:14 July 2026

Presumptive new PM Andy Burnham has given yet another signal of his intention to continue where Keir Starmer and his Blair tribute act leave off. Burnham is now working “hand-in-glove” with Starmer adviser and Blairite privatiser Alan Milburn on forcing people into work. Milburn blames young people The plan is, of course, dressed up as “opportunity and life chances” for young people. However, Milburn’s May 2026 interim report for Starmer makes clear that the aim is to force them into work for economic growth rather than their benefit. 60% of those targeted are not currently looking for work — and Milburn,…

Exclusive: Your Party CEC votes no confidence but must ask leadership to respect vote

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:13 July 2026

The Your Party executive committee (CEC) no-confidence vote exclusively revealed by Skwawkbox last week took place on Sunday. The specially-arranged CEC meeting, to hold no-confidence votes in three key officials, was fraught and lasted almost three-and-a-half hours. Yet it ended without a clear conclusion, forcing members to ask party leaders to respect a clear majority vote that just failed to reach the required threshold. The issue was a vote of no confidence in three figures blamed for the suspension of three well-known CEC members for attending a socialist conference. A number of members left the meeting rather than participate, but the…

WATCH: Israel again mocks concept of ‘ceasefire’ with 4 strikes on Gaza

  • Post author:

Israel has again shown its contempt for the very idea of a ceasefire, with at least four murderous airstrikes on Gaza City today. Last week, the occupation murdered the director of Egypt’s aid mission to Gaza, in evident retaliation for the Egyptian football team manager’s show of solidarity with Palestine. On Sunday 12 July 2026, Israel hit a home in a densely-populated civilian area of Gaza City with at least four missiles in quick succession: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Hamdan Dahdouh (@hamdaneldahdouh) Israel — One street, three bombings And in a further horrifying display of the…

US Congressman Ro Khanna slams IOF after detention by armed Israeli settlers

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:12 July 2026

Extremist Israeli settlers — is there any other kind? — detained US lawmaker Ro Khanna as he visited the occupied West Bank last week. Khanna — one of the more critical of Israel among US politicians — was held for around 90 minutes by land-thieves armed with M4 assault rifles. He said that when Israeli troops finally turned up: they sided with the settlers and continued our detention. Khanna becomes the first US politician held by the apartheid colony. Surely his brown skin had nothing to do with it. The detention has been ignored by the White House and US Israel…

ITV’s Clarke’s post-match interviews epitomise awful UK media

  • Post author:

ITV sports hack Gabriel Clarke has rightly been lambasted for his appalling interviews after England beat Norway to reach the World Cup semi-finals. The match followed the pattern of recent England performances: a frustrating, lacklustre performance rescued by moments of brilliance from, mostly, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. England manager Thomas Tuchel, while happy to get through and praising Bellingham’s performance his team’s mentality, was correctly dissatisfied with the latest repeat. Tuchel felt that England “made life hard for [ourselves]”. ITV Clarke’s wind-up And he had no patience for Clarke’s wind-up: Horrendous interview from Gabriel Clarke post Norway vs England game…

Deranged Israel-first senator Graham dies after visit to Ukraine arms factory

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:12 July 2026

Rabidly Israel-first US senator Lindsey Graham has died aged 71. His office described his death as coming after a “brief and sudden” illness. Graham was one of the more unhinged US politicians, even among Trump supporters. Irredeemably Israel-first, he even threatened a US invasion of the International Criminal Court over its arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu. Lindsey Graham — Shameless genocider Graham was a shameless supporter of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, though he would never have admitted it is a genocide. His comments make clear he had no concern whatsoever for Israel’s hundreds of thousands of Palestinian victims: “I am with…

Israel lobby groups demand Burnham roll back even milksop Gaza comments

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:12 July 2026

Israel lobby groups wasted no time in demanding Andy Burnham pull back from even his watery comments on Israel’s crimes in Gaza. Burnham refused last week to call the genocide a genocide. Instead, he said Labour “didn’t get right” its response. That would be Keir Starmer endorsing Israel’s crimes against humanity by cutting off fuel and water to the besieged open-air concentration camp. And ordering the RAF to provide active support for the slaughter of Palestinians — and almost certainly UK aid workers. And Burnham dared to suggest — after almost three years of slaughter, starvation, targeting of children, hospitals, schools,…

Your Party — Majority support Skwawkbox understands that a clear majority of members have said they will support the no-confidence motion. Israel lobby smears Mamdani’s wife Rama for celebrating Mary as Palestinian

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:10 July 2026

The Israel lobby has gone into yet another Mamdani-related meltdown. This time, though, the emphasis is on ‘related’. Mamdani’s wife Rama Duwaji dared to co-host a retreat in Corsica that honoured the Virgin Mary as “a Palestinian woman who gave birth under occupation”. The event also included prayers for Palestinian mothers giving birth and trying to protect their children during Israel’s genocide. Israel meltdown The Murdoch-owned New York Post claimed Duwaji dodged US Independence Day celebrations, liked posts praising resistance to occupation and created artwork that criticised Israel. It also attacked attendees for wearing keffiyeh scarves and raising funds for Palestinian…

Police raid homes of Defend our Juries supporters

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:10 July 2026

Police have raided at least three homes of supporters of the ‘Defend Our Juries’ (DOJ) group, using terror legislation to detain individuals and seize devices. The arrests were in relation to the Starmer regime’s ‘proscription‘ of anti-genocide direct action group Palestine Action (PA). The ban classifies PA alongside the likes of ISIS and al-Qaeda as terrorists. Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 makes support for the non-violent group a criminal offence punishable by up to fourteen years in prison. The groups says that the raids targeted: Individuals who have shared videos online declaring support for the unjustly proscribed direct action…

Reform in shambles as even right-wing media turn on it

  • Post author:

Reform is in disarray over Nigel Farage’s already-backfiring resignation gamble, so much that even hard-right media can’t hide it. In fact, some are even joining in the mockery. Reactionary horror Julia Hartley-Brewer, for example. Reform’s awful spokeswoman Laila Cunningham was having an even worse day than usual yesterday (9 July 2026). She even tried to contend that being a privately-educated banker — as Farage is — didn’t make you part of the establishment. No defence for Reform But Hartley-Brewer mercilessly dismantled Cunningham on Talk TV, exposing the party’s utter lack of preparation and credibility on – for example – defence: REFORM…

Burnham plans to take Starmer’s ‘censor for Israel’ plan even further

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:11 July 2026

Presumptive new PM Andy Burnham has indicated that he will not undo any of his defunct predecessor’s war on UK rights and freedoms in support of Israel. In fact, he has made clear that he doesn’t think it’s tough enough and intends to take it further. Burnham picks up where Starmer left off For example, Burnham has said that he wants the under-16s ban to be delivered with urgency and reinforced the lies about doing it to ‘protect children’. But he thinks it is only a starting point: a “critical first step”. Burnham made a milksop apology yesterday for Labour’s ‘stance’…

Farage ‘routinely’ introduced criminal donor Cottrell as ‘chief of staff’

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:9 July 2026

Scandal-riddled Nigel Farage “routinely” introduced criminal crypto-financier ‘Posh’ George Cottrell as his “chief of staff”, according to new revelations in the Guardian. Cottrell is one of two donors at the centre of the scandal of Farage’s massive undeclared donations, which he was legally obliged to report on becoming an MP. Farage is now trying to staunch the bleeding by resigning his Clacton parliamentary seat and standing for re-election. However, his claim that the donations have been a purely personal matter among friends is shattered by the latest exposure. Farage panic As well as his own donations and the alleged provision of…

The judge discharged the jury in the first trial on 1 July after jurors refused to convict, but decided yesterday that Cotte would face a retrial, also at the Old Bailey, on 14 September. Israel murders Palestinian aid official who organised Gaza World Cup screenings

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:10 July 2026

Israel has responded to the Egyptian football team manager’s comments of support for Gaza by murdering Palestinian Mohamed Fawaz al-Wahidi — Egypt’s organiser of World Cup match screenings in Gaza. The 7 July 2026 murder came just before Egypt’s match against Argentina, where many believe the Egyptians were cheated out of a historic win. Israel kills Palestinian aid worker Al-Wahidi was the Egyptian Relief Committee in Gaza’s public relations director. He had organised screenings of World Cup matches for Palestinians as a small glimmer of relief from their suffering under Israeli genocide, starvation and oppression. But just before the Egypt-Argentina match…

Another mosque attack goes ignored by politicians & MSM

UK politicians and ‘mainstream’ media are ignoring yet another Islamophobic attack at a UK mosque. In the latest in a string of attacks treated with indifference by the establishment, an elderly man was assaulted and subjected to racist abuse outside Noor Ul Islam Mosque in the Leyton area of London. The victim was hospitalised by the attack. An intervention by other mosque-goers prevented the attack escalating further. A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.  Mosque attack met with state-media indifference Keir Starmer and other government politicians did not even comment on the attack, let alone call a…

Colombia’s Petro declares rigged presidential election invalid

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:8 July 2026

Colombia’s left-wing president Gustavo Petro has declared the country’s recent presidential election illegitimate and de-recognised the election of far-right, US-allied Abelardo de la Espriella. De la Espriella has responded by saying that he is cancelling ‘transition arrangements. In June 2026, Petro condemned the hacking and tampering by Israeli and US organisations in voting and tally processes that were run by foreign ‘cybersecurity’ companies. He has reaffirmed that De la Espriella “did not win the elections”. De la Espriella is an eager supporter of Israel. Calling for the Colombian people to gather and march on the country’s 20 July Independence Day in…
