On 17 June, Restore Britain published its ‘Rape Gang Inquiry Report’. In the aftermath, critics accused the authors of using fraudulent figures and selective data to present an Islamophobic narrative. Defenders, meanwhile, used the report to push Islamophobic narratives — essentially backing up the argument of the critics.
