Education is a fundamental human right for everyone, but in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, access to safe and quality education for almost 835,000 school aged children has been undermined, severely threatening their futures. West Bank education restricted Movement restrictions, forced displacement, school demolitions, violence. and harassment by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Jewish colonial settlers are commonplace. Boycott calls are growing as Sahrawis slam Christopher Nolan’s decision to film The Odyssey in occupied territory. All while doing nothing to acknowledge the occupation or the Sahrawis who continue to resist Morocco’s ethnic cleansing campaign to force them from their land. Nolan chose Dakhla as the location for the film, set for release on Friday 17 July, despite the fact that the land has been occupied by Morocco for 50 years. In turn, critics have pointed out that this can only work to normalise the oppression and forced displacement of Sahrawis. Israeli soldiers murder 7-month-old in Occupied West Bank

Israeli soldiers shot and murdered a seven-month-old baby in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron, West Bank, on Friday, June 5. Sam Fahd Abu Haikal was in his mother’s arms when Israeli soldiers killed him. The IOF opened fire on a car which was carrying the infant and his family. They shot despite the car having complied with an order to stop, injuring both his parents. Sam Fahd Abu Haikal was critically injured and evacuated in critical condition to a hospital.
