NaVCIS logged 3424 HGV cargo crime incidents in 2025, nine a day across a network that has no dedicated police crime code for any of it. A driver parks a loaded curtainsider at a layby off the A5 because there is nowhere else to stop, and by morning the load is gone. Loyalism has always been an exclusivist ideology, predicated on the notion that one population deserves to dominate another that is dismissed as less deserving. Historically of course, this viewpoint dictated that Protestants must be allowed to lord it over Catholics.
