The US, through its ambassador to the UN, has said it will “dismantle” the International Criminal Court (ICC) to protect Israel. It didn’t name Israel, but Israel was clearly the point β€” and, of course, protecting the US’s own mountain of war criminals. The attack came a day after warmongering US secretary of state Marco Rubio also threatened the court. Orwellian claims And Jeff Bartos was in full Orwellian mood, claiming the ICC is engaged in some kind of international takeover. The US has enabled Israel’s Gaza genocide and murder of Lebanese civilians as well as knowingly slaughtering over 160 schoolgirls…

Reeves says Starmer failed because β€˜governing is hard’

  • Post author:

After 14 years of Tory rule (and 40 years of neoliberalism), Keir Starmer needed to make dramatic moves to turn this country around. Instead, he tinkered around the edges then pouted when no one thanked him as their lives continued to worsen. Starmer is on his way out, and you have to assume Rachel Reeves will follow. Given her response to the following, it’s easy to see why: #BBCLaurak: "You were absolutely central to Keir Starmers whole project. What do you think, reflecting back, is the biggest reason why its come to an end like this? Rachel Reeves: "I think governing…

Israeli PM Benyamin Netanyahu has said Israel will occupy Lebanon for as long as required. The settler colonial state pushed deep into the country’s south during the most recent invasion and is still holding swathes of Lebanese territory. Netanyahu said on 9 July: We will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon for as long as necessary to guarantee the security of our communities in the north. The war criminal PM was addressing a group of Israeli pilots. The Times of Israel reported that he told them: The war is not over. Alongside old challenges, new ones continue to emerge.…

Communist Party USA says reds are among best Americans

  • Post author:

Communist Party USA’s co-chair, Joe Sims has responded to recent comments from Donald Trump: Donald Trump’s back-to-back holiday weekend speeches at Mount Rushmore and the National Mall, where he said the Communist Party was composed of ‘illegal immigrants, criminals, and people who don’t want to work’, are taking on an increasingly fascist trajectory. That’s the standard authoritarian playbook. They always come for the communists and socialists first. Sims added: If Trump got this β€˜intelligence’ from the FBI, Kash Patel needs to be fired immediately. What a bunch of garbage. He’s trying to criminalise us. We’re among the best Americans. The RSPCA is calling on dog owners to implement an urgent routine change, with more extreme hot weather forecast across England and Wales. It says that even without the extreme 35Β°C highs seen in June, upcoming conditions could still be hazardous for pets. ‘Dog lockdown’ Pet experts are recommending a β€˜dog lockdown’ for the hottest coming days. The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) has condemned president Trump’s red‑baiting tirades against the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) primary victories in New York, the District of Columbia and Colorado. It called them a dangerous escalation of anti‑communist hysteria. Co-chair Rossana Cambron said: MAGA is going to lose the midterms and Trump’s getting desperate. Trump told the recent Faith & Freedom Coalition that communism is the β€œgreatest threat” facing the United States in its 250-year history. He said: They’re animals! These ruthless Communists will attack all religions but, in particular, Christianity. The party’s co-chair, Joe Sims, responded: β€œOur enemy is not God,…

All charges dropped (again) against Canary’s Ani Says

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has dropped all ‘Zionist’-related charges against Canary anti-genocide activist Ani Says. Again. The Israel lobby has continually pressured the CPS to keep trying to criminalise Ani on multiple occasions, but the attempts keep failing. In a statement on Instagram, the Canary said: The CPS has DROPPED all charges relating to “Zionism” that were brought against Canary journalist @anisaysbackup. These spurious allegations were once again instigated by the Zionist lobby – and once again the CPS bowed down. But the justice system has seen sense. Polanski says Burnham must dump Israel, and recognise genocide, for Greens’ help

  • Post author:

Green party leader Zack Polanski has given presumptive new Labour leader and PM Andy Burnham an ultimatum over Israel. Polanski, Britain’s only Jewish party leader, has said that Burnham must dump Israel and recognise the Gaza genocide β€” anything less is a red line. In remarks after a university speech, the Green party leader said that Burnham’s apparent multiple personalities over key issues was a problem. Some versions would be a natural partner for the Greens, while others would be impossible β€” and the early signs are worsening: We genuinely don’t know which version of Andy Burnham turns up.Β I can see…

Burnham says β€œwe under tax wealth” but will he do anything about it?

  • Post author:

Tax Justice UK have posted a video filmed in November, challenging the newly elected Makerfield MP and likely-PM Andy Burnham on his position on wealth taxes. This comes as Burnham looks likely to take the top job of PM, leading many to pay attention to whether he sticks by his prior commitments. At the time, Andy Burnham seemed to recognise the unfairness of a system that taxes work heavily while allowing many of the wealthiest to pay less than ordinary workers. He notably said: We under tax wealth. If you take something as simple as council tax, people here [Manchester city…

Belfast β€” The Commissioner for Children and Young People in the north of Ireland has said loyalist paramilitaries pressured children to engage in violent racist pogroms, in return for writing off money owed to those same gangs. Chris Quinn was speaking to the Irish News. He said the money owed might be “drug debts” or “could be loans”. He gave examples of what he came across first hand when present at racist disorder in Glengormley. Quinn said: We have been informed by reliable people working with these young people, that some of those were brought there to clear debts. IΒ heard an…

Barrister in Ukrainians’ β€˜Starmer arson’ trial says huge amount was covered up

Senior criminal law barrister Dominic D’Souza acted for one of the Ukrainians accused β€” and acquitted this week β€” of setting fire to properties belonging to Keir Starmer. The defendants were allegedly ‘rent boys’ β€” a factor largely ignored by UK ‘mainstream’ media. And D’Souza says that he was astonished β€” his word was ‘pickled’ β€” by how much of what went on was ignored or even buried by prosecution and judge in the case. Two men were convicted in the case. D’Souza’s client Petro Pochynok was acquitted. But when D’Souza read journalist Crispin Flintoff’s X post about the BBC’s unmerited…

Trump’s deluded ambassador says US wouldn’t exist without Israel

  • Post author:

Deluded worldviews are everywhere in the Trump regime – they’re a requirement to be part of it. Few come more twisted than white nationalist and fanatical Zionist US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. So twisted that Huckabee thinks Israel has a ‘right’ to take the whole of west Asia. But Huckabee even – and completely ahistorically – thinks the US wouldn’t exist at all if it wasn’t for Israel: https://www.thecanary.co/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Huckabee-Exist-Subbed-hb.mp4 Back to front Just for the record – and for Trump himself – the US has existed as an independent nation for well over 200 years. Iran foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to Israel’s attempts to reject Donald Trump’s supposed ceasefire ‘memorandum of understanding‘ with Iran. Araghchi warned Israel – and Trump – that there is no prospect of any agreement to end the illegal US-Israel war unless Israel gets out of Lebanon completely: The end of the war will not be complete without the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territories they occupied in Lebanon. Any military attack by Israel on Lebanon and the continued occupation of Lebanese territories from now on, in our opinion, is a violation of the MoU. https://www.thecanary.co/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Araghchi-Lebanon-Subbed-hb.mp4 Araghchi continues to…

Labour’s Liverpool Riverside MP Kim Johnson spoke out against the Starmer regime’s determination to convict the ‘Filton 24’ activists. The group had been imprisoned for up to two years awaiting trial. Starmer and his front-bench drones forced a retrial of the ‘Filton 24’ anti-genocide activists who damaged an Israeli weapons factory. The jury at the first trial had refused to convict them on any charges, despite false evidence from their accusers.
