Keir Starmer’s government, true to its deeply shady form, has filled the Department for Education (DfE) with people close to both corporate and pro-Israel lobbyists. And the overlapping right-wing network flows from old Blairites like Peter Mandelson and Jim Murphy to the more recent Starmerites at Labour Together. Electoral Commission statistics show us just how much influence dodgy lobbyists have in the DfE today. The rot of Blair, Mandelson, Murphy, and Labour Together New Labour corporate cronies — from Tony Blair to Mandelson and Murphy — just refuse to go away. But it’s the shadowy lobbying and fundraising networks around them…

Two US universities are selling dead bodies, which are meant for ‘scientific purposes’, to the US Navy, which uses them to train the Israeli military. Back in 2025, student journalists revealed the links between bodies donated by the University of Southern California (USC) for scientific research and training provided to Israeli soldiers by the US military. At the end of 2017, the US Navy filed a notice of intent to start purchasing cadavers from USC. The purpose was to use dead bodies in trauma surgery for the IOF. The notice of intent states: The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate…

Boris offered a “top five job” to back remaining in EU before he ultimately ran for leader

  • Post author:
  • Post last modified:9 June 2026

In a new BBC documentary, Boris Johnson revealed that David Cameron offered him a “top five job” during a tennis match to secure his support for remaining in the EU. Cameron, PM at the time, apparently wanted Boris to know that he: valued his contribution, that he would be a major party of the government going forward. Apparently, Cameron returned from the tennis match feeling “doubly good” after beating Johnson and believing he had appealed to his career ambitions. Nevertheless, Cameron was quickly outmanoeuvred when the then-London Mayor announced — “after a huge amount of heartache” — that he would support…

List of disgrace: Over 50 countries armed Israel since plausible genocide ruling

51 nations armed Israel during the settler-colonial state’s genocide against Palestinians. Some states gave the regime hundreds of millions of dollars in arms. Others just a few hundred dollars worth of equipment. All bear the mark of shame. Al Jazeera reported on 24 May: military-related goods originating from at least 51 countries and self-governing territories continued entering Israel after the ICJ’s warning of a plausible risk of genocide in Gaza. The outlet used Israel tax authority data, customs records and freedom of information requests from “between 2022 and 2025” to trace: military supply chains linked to countries across Europe, Asia, North…

This is a statement from the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Green Party The Green group on Cambridge city council has confirmed that it will not be entering a proposed rainbow coalition with Labour or the Liberal Democrats. Instead, it put forward and voted for its deputy leader Sefira Davison to lead the city council. Sadly the Lib Dems chose to abstain on the vote, lending their tacit support to enable a continuation of the Labour run administration, rather than agreeing to collaborate with Green councillors to bring about the change that residents voted for. Despite constructive efforts from the Green group,…

Algeria at the 2026 World Cup: Restoring prestige and chasing the 2014 feat

  • Post author:

Algeria — After years of ups and downs, marked by both successes and failures, the Algerian national team returns to the 2026 World Cup with a twofold ambition: to restore its standing amongst the African elite on the one hand, and to prove that the current generation is capable of writing a new chapter to match what the Desert Warriors achieved at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on the other. Algeria, which dazzled the world over a decade ago when it reached the quarter-finals and played a historic match against Germany, has since experienced contrasting phases. From winning the 2019…

New polling of Labour Party members shows they overwhelmingly oppose the UK selling arms to Israel. They also want an end to trade with Israel’s illegal settlements. Over 60% are dissatisfied with the UK government’s response to Israel’s atrocities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and want it to take stronger action. This includes an 87% majority backing a ban on trade with illegal settlements, and a 78% majority backing the suspension of all UK arms exports to Israel. The poll also found over two-thirds support suspending the UK-Israel Trade and Partnership Agreement. The polling, commissioned by Save the Children UK, Christian…

Fogarty to political activist denied UK visa: ‘Nobody thinks you can’t criticise Israel’

US anti-genocide journalist Cenk Uygur was interviewed on LBC with Shelagh Fogarty this week. The Starmer regime had just cancelled the UK visas of Uygur and fellow commentator Hasan Piker. Yet Fogarty was determined to ignore the obvious and was seemingly oblivious to how that would backfire. So she told Uygur blithely: “Nobody in this country thinks you can’t criticise Israel”. Yes, she actually said that out loud. Fogarty ignores Uygur’s ban for opposing barbarism Uygur’s response was immediate: “Well I just got banned for it”. The clip was promptly posted by Green party candidate, Mark Adderley, who knows a thing…

UK Athletics has been fined £350,000 after pleading guilty to corporate manslaughter over the 2017 death of Paralympian Abdullah Hayayei. Hayayei was killed while training in London ahead of the World Para Athletics Championships. The case has exposed glaring lapses in event safety and prompted fresh scrutiny of how major sporting bodies manage risk for visiting athletes. Hayayei, a 36‑year‑old thrower from the United Arab Emirates, had competed at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, and was preparing at the Newham Leisure Centre when a metal throwing cage collapsed on him. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. The tragedy…

Israeli occupation’s aim is ethnic cleansing by any means possible

Every minute of every day there are numerous Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians taking place somewhere in the occupied West Bank. Many attacks involve direct violence, but settlers also intimidate, steal and destroy land and property. Their purpose, by whatever means possible, is to steal Palestinian land for the Zionist’s colonial project of a “Greater Israel”, in the occupied Palestinian territory. And they have the full support and protection of the occupation’s police, military and government. Here are just a few of the recent attacks on Palestinians by these illegal settlers… Israeli settlers terrorise towns and villages On 19 May, settlers and…

Streeting attempts to rewrite history over Gaza

Wes Streeting appears to be attempting to rewrite history over his position on Gaza, after supporting Israel’s genocide for years. You spent two years supporting genocide and now pretend you didn’t? Just staggering dishonesty from these human pieces of excrement. https://t.co/Vz7iEYsHIW — Bog Standard Marxist (@muskeatsbogeys) June 2, 2026 Recently published conversations between Streeting and Peter Mandelson, a friend of Epstein and a former government advisor, show Mandelson calling Streeting “hysterical” and “pathetic,” saying: I think Wes is experiencing an early mid-life crisis. Previously, Streeting released some messages between himself and Mandelson to clarify the nature of their relationship. In them,…

Israel-bought politicians don’t care what a hate march actually is

Israel lobbyists — and UK politicians who take donations from Israel lobbyists — characterise protests against Israel’s genocide as ‘hate’. It’s a bare-faced lie. But the far-right is full of hate yet many MPs refuse to say so. The ‘protest’ (riots) in Southampton on Tuesday, egged on by fascists Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson, put it beyond doubt. Is Caribbean unity at a turning point? Since the brazen and horrific US attack on Venezuela in January, the Caribbean’s regional trade bloc CARICOM has been in crisis. What has been left out by much of the media is the assistance that some Caribbean countries like Trinidad and Tobago gave the United States in its imperialist attack on the South American country. Trinidad and Tobago support of the US The Dominican Republic and Guyana all played a role in providing the US with bases and logistical support. However, more than any other country, Trinidad and Tobago provided temporary radar surveillance and…

Henry Nowak’s murder has been used as a wedge to drive racial tensions in the UK, with Tommy Robinson putting himself front and centre. It started with inflammatory comments from Nigel Farage, which predictably led to yet another race riot. As anyone could have guessed, Tommy Robinson was on the scene to take what Farage had started and run with it. However, Robinson used the murder to incite hate against a different religious group than the murderer’s own — Muslims. Massive nosher Tommy Turd Robinson showed up to the minute’s silence for Henry Nowak, wouldn’t shut up throughout the entire thing,…

In May 2019, I sat down with my mum in her living room and watched the first episode of Years and Years. This is a dystopian BBC drama created by screenwriter Russell T Davies. He is the same man who brought back Doctor Who in the mid-noughties. Since watching it in 2019, the six-part series has become an oracle. This is because almost every fictional prediction Davies makes in the series has terrifyingly come true. Please note this article contains spoilers. The AUKUS war pact between the US, UK and Australia is expensive, secretive, and the “worst defence decision” since WWII. That’s according to a respected Australian expert, who says a proper inquiry is long overdue. Ian Lowe, an emeritus professor at Griffith University, Queensland, published a recent critique of the deal, saying it was: Negotiated rapidly and in secret [and that] the AUKUS pact to produce new nuclear-powered submarines is among the most expensive, consequential and opaque deals in British and Australian military history. A brash Trump- and Israel-aligned millionaire — Abelardo De la Espriella — has come out ahead in the first round of Colombia’s presidential election. Colombia’s left-wing government has strongly criticised Israel’s genocide and resisted Trump’s attempts to reassert US influence in Latin America.
